Mrs. JULIE SKOTTE
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Julie spends as much time as possible immersed in the natural world. She draws inspiration from the landscapes around her, sometimes focusing on intricate details discovered through quiet observation, and other times capturing expansive coastal scenes. She loves early mornings and arriving at a location before anyone else, embracing the stillness and sense of discovery that comes with solitude in nature. “Time stands still when I’m out exploring and observing nature,” she says.
Julie is also an accomplished scuba diver and underwater photographer, fascinated by the hidden world beneath the surface. She frequently uses the split-shot technique to photograph the boundary between above and below water in a single frame.
Her photographic mission is to share the beauty and fragility of the natural world, guided by a commitment to biodiversity and environmental awareness. In recent years, her work has increasingly focused on the landscapes of Denmark and neighboring countries like Sweden, where she seeks out lesser-known locations and the subtle beauty of what is close by.
Julie’s photography balances documentation with creative expression. While she strives to portray nature authentically, she also embraces artistic choices that evoke emotion and invite interpretation.
