Mr. ARNE BERGO

Arne is 67 years of age, retired and a resident of Bergen, Norway. Photography is a major hobby of his. At times photography becomes a goal in itself, simply because it is fun, provide a sense of mastery and may result in pictures which may give himself and others lasting enjoyment. On other occations photography gives added value to experiences, no matter if it is simply a walk in the neighbourhood or longer voyages. That a photo is a lasting memory is no mere platitude.
Gaining recognition through participation in competitions gives Arne added motivation. He will shoot a wide variety of subjects if the occation presents itself, but nature is the one thing he will seek out and it dominates his photographic activities.
He has been into photography since his youth, buying his first SLR in the early 1970s. His interest gained an extra boost with the arrival of digital cameras and in 2010 he also became a member of Bekkalokket camera club. He has also been very involved in volunteer work and administrative destinctions include ESFIAP, HonENFFF, HonENSF and Bekkalokket Grønn Emalje.
